SMIB (Sumibu) is a cultural engine born in Amsterdam’s Bijlmer. The name “Sumibu” itself is a playful flip of “Bims,” the local nickname for their neighbourhood. SMIB is a fashion brand and creative collective that blends music, art, and streetwear into a shared voice.

Their drop-style product line ranges from tees and hoodies to denim and accessories, with signature collections like the “F*CK OV” range and collaborative pieces like SMIB × Museum Rembrandthuis.

Their creative philosophy is cross-disciplinary: the brand has its own “SMIB University,” a music arm (SMIB Worldwide), and hosts events, making it a lifestyle brand rooted in self-expression and community.

SMIB’s impact has rippled well beyond fashion. In 2020, they collaborated with Patta, another major streetwear label in Amsterdam, for a capsule that included apparel and a linked music project — underscoring their role as a bridge between creative generations.
