Behind The Brand

Born in São Tomé and Príncipe and raised in Portugal, Roselyn Silva spent her early years weaving together her identity: the rhythms of the islands, the textures of European cities, the longing for heritage. This became her creative fuel.

She launched her eponymous luxury womenswear brand, Roselyn Silva, in 2015, with a runway showcase at Mozambique Fashion Week, a meeting point between her island roots and European refinement.

Each piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand, often in limited runs, using sustainable and recycled materials.

Silva’s designs are known for their sculptural silhouettes, rich textures, and the quiet confidence they bring to the women who wear them. Over the years, she has dressed public figures, particularly fado singer Mariza, actress Cláudia Vieira and presenters Leonor Poeiras and Júlia Pinheiro

Her designs have been featured in Vogue Portugal, and she has collaborated with local artisans to preserve traditional textile techniques.

Her work has graced runways from Lisbon to Luanda and Accra, standing out for its fusion of contemporary tailoring and cultural storytelling.
