Behind The Brand

Ometsey was born in 2017 and it’s led by Darkwaa Edna. The brand name Ometsey is the local name of Edna which is given to first born girls in her tribe, Ga Adangbe and she translates that into her designs to nurture a community of women to lead in style and purpose with a quiet but strong command.

I’m all about clean silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and details you’ll catch only if you’re paying attention. My pieces are the kind that slip into your wardrobe and never leave.

I’ve walked the runways at Africa Fashion Week London, but I’m not just designing for the spotlight. I’m designing for everyday leaders, women who build, create, nurture, and hustle. My style is about ease and strength rolled into one.
